In April 2007, All for Good were contracted by the British Olympic Association to deliver part of their fundraising events programme in the build up to Beijing 2008.
Over the course of the 16 months to August 2008, All for Good helped develop and establish, and then delivered the Scottish Olympic Gold Ball in April 2007 and again in 2008, in the presence of HRH The Princess Royal and in partnership with Atos Origin and BBC Scotland. The 2008 event was held in the stunning new BBC Scotland headquarters at Pacific Quay in Glasgow.
All for Good also managed and staged the 2007 and 2008 Atos Origin Olympic Classic Golf series in aid of Team GB. This included the Sky Sports televised Olympic Classic Skins event raising valuable funds for present and future Olympians as well as the chosen charities of the participating Olympians. The main series featured corporate teams alongside Olympians and raised over £100,000 for Team GB across the two years, and in 2008, culminated in the Grand Final, hosted by Antequera Golf in Andalucia, Spain.
In May 2008, five Team GB Olympians and 25 fundraising volunteers trekked the Great Wall of China in aid of the British Olympic Foundation (BOF). All for Good created and managed the 10 day challenge which raised over £50,000 for BOF.
“The seamless and flawless delivery, enjoyed by hundreds of guests, is a tribute to the professionalism, dedication and tireless attention to detail that I know is required to deliver these events both at home and overseas. The added complexity of having to deal with TV broadcast of the event is a capability that few event organisations possess. On a personal note, I have seen you build strong relationships with our guests, Olympians and our staff, and have watched you quickly establish them into united and passionate teams. Your position as speech writer, VIP babysitter, counsellor, referee, consulate general, chief of ceremonies and many other roles, will I am sure be used in support of our many varied and varied events” Derek Ward, Executive Vice-President, Atos Origin
“when approached by Pete and All for Good to take part in the Great Wall challenge I jumped at the chance, as it was a once in a lifetime opportunity to walk on one of the most historic land marks in the world. The trip itself was fantastic, a great bunch of people helped make the challenge even more memorable while of course raising valuable funds for BOF. Long term friendships have been made and as one of the five Olympians on the trek the memories will stay with me forever” Steve Cram
All for Good created a well organised, precisely executed, creative fundraising initiative and the British Olympic Foundation are extremely grateful for all that they did” Jan Paterson, Director, British Olympic Foundation
