The inaugural Mark Foster Golf Challenge in aid of WellChild attracted what could be described as an eclectic mix of celebrities to the glorious Studley Wood Club in Oxfordshire.
Mark is an ambassador for WellChild, the national charity for sick children, and he hosted this event as a new addition to the WellChild calendar.
The five time Olympian, Britain’s most decorated swimmer with 47 International medals, and star of Strictly Come Dancing, was joined on the day by amongst others, Alain Baxter (Olympic Ski racer and winner of BBC Superstars), Lee Sharpe ( Manchester United, Leeds United and Celebrity Love Island), and Britain’s Got Talent’s very own Stavros Flatley.
The day was fantastically supported by Studley Wood Golf Club, Next, Lyle & Scott, Srixon, Vitabiotics, La Cala Resort and was rounded off brilliantly by the world champion trick shot golfer, Jeremy Dale.
"The inaugural Mark Foster Golf Challenge was a fantastic event which was very much enjoyed by everyone who took part. I'd like to thank Mark Foster for his help and support as well as all the celebrities who came along and all the competitors who made the day such a great success. We hope to build on the success of this first event and make it even bigger in the future to help us raise funds to meet WellChild's commitment to helping seriously ill children and their families across the UK through our programmes of care, support and research." WellChild Chief Executive, Colin Dyer
